Bedil Island is one of the many small islands scattered around Sumbawa Island. It sits in Labu Pade Village, Utan District, Sumbawa, and takes about an hour and a half to reach by road from the town of Sumbawa Besar.
How to Get to Bedil Island
From Sumbawa Besar, just follow the main highway heading towards Poto Tano Harbour (the ferry port for crossings to Lombok). Once you reach the far end of Utan District, look for the junction that turns off to Labu Pade.
Labu Pade is a coastal tourism area and also the place where you hire a boat to cross over to Bedil Island. There are two crossing options:
- Via Labu Pade:
- You travel on a comfortable tourist boat that meets tourism standards.
- The fare is higher than the other option.
- Via Laboan Bajo:
- You use a fishing boat hired directly from the local fishermen.
- The fare is more affordable.
The crossing to the island takes only around 15 minutes. Other islands worth visiting lie nearby, such as Panjang Island, Keramat Island, and Temudung Island. You can ask your boat driver to take you there for an extra fee.

- Return boat charter from Labu Pade: IDR 250,000 (maximum 8 people).
