Itinerary for Whale Shark Open Trip Sumbawa Starting from Lombok
Day 1: Overland Lombok – Sumbawa
09.00 Meeting point in Mataram City / Senggigi Area / Bangsal Harbor / Kuta Mandalika, then heading to Kayangan Harbor, East Lombok
14.00 Arrive at Kayangan Harbor, then cross by ferry to Poto Tano Harbor, Sumbawa
16.00 Arrive at Poto Tano Harbor, continue the journey to Labuan Jambu Village for the next 5 hours
22.00 Arrive at Labuan Jambu Village, check in to the hotel, and rest
Day 2: Snorkeling With Whale Sharks – Transfer Out To Lombok (B)
04.00 Early morning wake-up call and preparation to cross using local fishing boats to the Bagang Boats around Saleh Bay
05.30 Arrive at the Bagang Boats area, wait while searching for the Bagang where Whale Sharks are present. Once found, our boat will dock at the Bagang with Whale Sharks
06.00 Time to start snorkeling and interacting with the Whale Sharks. A simple breakfast will be served on the Bagang/Boat
08.00 Return to Labuan Jambu Village, Tarano District
10.00 Arrive at Labuan Jambu Village, check out from the hotel, then continue the overland journey back to Poto Tano Harbor
15.00 Arrive at Poto Tano Harbor, then cross by ferry to Kayangan Harbor, Lombok
17.00 Arrive at Kayangan Harbor, then we will take you to your hotel in Mataram City / Senggigi Area / Kuta Mandalika
19.00 Arrive at the hotel and rest. Program ends

Term & Conditions
- Registration is done by making a down payment 30% at least 1 day before the program.
- Each registered participant will be added to a WhatsApp group for easier communication between The Langkah Travel Team and Whale Shark Open Trip participants.
- Participants who have not made payment are considered unregistered and will not be added to the WhatsApp group.
- Payments made by participants will be forfeited if cancellation is initiated by the participant.
- Participants who cancel are allowed to find a replacement, provided the replacement is found by the canceling participant.
- If cancellation occurs due to Force Majeure or is initiated by us, the participant’s payment will be refunded 100%.
- Prospective participants are deemed to understand and agree to all the above terms.
Whale Shark Open Trip FAQ
Can i pay on the spot?
Sorry, we do not accept on-the-spot payments. To reserve your slot, you must make full payment before the program. Our service aims to allow you to arrive on D-Day and start the trip without worrying about payment!
What time exactly will participants be picked up?
We will pick you up at your hotel. Pick-up is done in stages, starting from the farthest to the nearest location, with estimated times as follows:
- Bangsal Harbor: Starting at 09.00 WITA
- Senggigi Area: Around 10.00 WITA
- Mataram City: Around 10.30 WITA
- Kuta Mandalika Area: Around 11.00 WITA
Pick-up times are flexible, but we will try to follow the above schedule. For participants picked up earlier, we ask for your patience and cooperation to wait in the car while picking up other participants.

Can i touch the Whale Sharks?
No. Amongst other reasons, it is a protected marine species and its skin is covered in a sensitive mucus membrane and should not be touched (thank you!)
What equipment do i need?
We provide all the equipment you need (snorkel, mask and fins), but feel free to bring your own
We also suggest bringing ear plugs because of the loud sound of the boat’s engine that will be used to go to the Whale Shark location (tourism is not yet developed so that the facilities and infrastructure are still quite minimal)

Payment is made by sending a down payment of 30% and the balance can be transferred on the first day of the tour program.
