Batu Payung was an umbrella-shaped rock near Tanjung Aan in Central Lombok. The iconic formation collapsed on 31 March 2019, as reported by ANTARA. The photographs below show the rock before its collapse, not its present condition.
Batu Payung Before the Collapse
The rock once provided a distinctive backdrop for photographs along this rocky coast. Visitors posed beside it and photographed it against the sea. We retain these photographs as a record of the landmark.

Planning a Visit Around Tanjung Aan
Do not plan a trip expecting to see the standing rock in these photographs. If you want to visit the surrounding coast, confirm current access, sea conditions, and any boat arrangements locally. Historical boat fares and journey times are not reliable booking information for a new visit.
