How to Reach Savana Propok and Kondo Hill
While Savana Propok and Kondo Hill are technically located in Sembalun Village, the most efficient route starts from Bebidas Village in Wanasaba District, East Lombok.
- From Mataram City: Bebidas Village is about a 2.5-hour drive by motorbike or car.
- Sebau Hot Springs: Upon arriving at Bebidas Village, head to the Sebau Hot Springs area. This is the entry point to Kondo Hill and Savana Propok. You can park your vehicle here and purchase entrance tickets.
Entrance Fees
The site is managed by the Rinjani Perkasa Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). Here are the current fees:
- Motorbike: IDR 35,000 per motorbike (regardless of whether it carries one or two passengers).
- Car: IDR 10,000 per person for groups traveling by car.
The Trekking Journey to Savana Propok and Kondo Hill
Your adventure begins at the hot springs area, with a 2-3 hour trek ahead. The trail is diverse, starting with wet soil and steep inclines, so good physical condition is essential.
Route to Sekomak Hill
The first leg takes you to Sekomak Hill, which you can reach in about two hours. Once there, you’ll encounter two options:
- Left Trail: Leads to Kondo Hill, located south of Sekomak Hill. At 1,934 meters above sea level, Kondo Hill offers stunning views of vast savannas with the majestic Mount Rinjani in the background.
- Descending Trail: Leads directly to Savana Propok. A short 10-minute walk downhill brings you to a vast savanna with spectacular natural vistas.
